Ultra HT is a 45-mil, self-adhered roofing underlayment for use in steep-slope roofing and re-roofing installations. The product features a durable cross-laminated polyethylene top film with a traction coating for excellent walkability. The specially formulated mastic is high temperature rated to 250°F for use under metal and tile applications. A ribbon-cutting and celebration event was held in June. Acquired by Soprema in 2016, the Chem Link brand has maintained its reputation for high-performance sealants and adhesives. Soprema Schoolcraft continues to manufacture Chem Link products. The investment includes a 51,000-square-foot warehouse addition and a new quality assurance lab, as well as the installation of an energy-efficient solar array. Soprema now operates multiple buildings in Schoolcraft, positioning the site as a central hub for advanced product manufacturing and quality assurance.

IKO, a global leader in the manufacturing and supply of residential shingles, commercial roofing, and waterproofing products, has broken ground on a new granule facility for its subsidiary, Bismarck Granules, in Bismarck, Missouri. The company was joined by state, regional, and local leaders to celebrate this milestone, which marks a significant expansion in the U.S. for IKO. The company is investing more than $120 million in the new facility, which will directly supply granules to IKO’s shingle plants throughout the southern United States. Bismarck Granules is partnering with New Frontier Materials to secure the feedstock necessary for the process. The project will create more than 50 new jobs in the new 220,000-square-foot facility, including storage domes and a dedicated rail area. IKO chose Bismarck for its highly skilled workforce, strategic central location, and excellent interstate connectivity — boosting both its U.S. operations and the local economy.

GAF, a Standard Industries company and North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, in partnership with the city of Valdosta, Georgia, has opened a new GAF Valdosta thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) commercial roofing plant. The site has been fully up and running since September 2024, but the celebration was delayed due to Hurricane Idalia. The state-of-the-art 425,000-square-foot facility has brought more than 130 advanced manufacturing, logistics, and engineering jobs to Lowndes County, Georgia. The Valdosta plant is GAF’s fifth TPO facility and adds to the company’s existing Georgia operations in Savannah, Statesboro, and Cumming.

Installing a Polyglass Class A fire-rated system may help qualify property owners for insurance discounts under California’s “Safer from Wildfires” program. These systems also support home hardening measures identified by the California FAIR Plan, the state’s last-resort insurance option for high-risk homeowners who’ve been denied coverage by traditional carriers.

Delta Coatings International, broke ground on its new headquarters and manufacturing facility at Dubai Industrial City (DIC). This eco-conscious development marks a bold step forward in Delta Coatings’ strategic growth plan and is designed to significantly scale up production and innovation capacity. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by senior representatives from Delta Coatings International and Dubai Industrial City. The new plant will be powered in part by renewable energy, including a large rooftop solar panel installation, supporting the company’s ongoing sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives. Once operational, the facility will triple Delta Coatings’ existing manufacturing output while tripling warehouse space. The site will also house a cutting-edge R&D Center of Excellence focused on developing next-generation polyurea products.

PolyVap SA S features a high-strength polypropylene sheet with an aggressive acrylic based adhesive on the bottom, ensuring a bond with most substrates.  This carrierless membrane is surfaced with a slip-resistant top surface to enhance walkability and can serve as a temporary roof for up to 180 days.
